Jury nullification education still barely ‘legal’ in USA, rules judge

Do we celebrate or scream? This ruling at least shows that some parts of the judicial system still understand both law and history. But it also shows that the enforcers (police and prosecutors) either don’t understand or desperately wish to change it.

“No legal system could long survive if it gave every individual the option of disregarding with impunity any law which by his personal standard was judged morally untenable,”

So – no surprise – we can confirm the Authoritarians “just don’t get it”. Unfortunately the average citizen generally has even less comprehension of what we’re talking about. If you’re one of my few dozen loyal readers, that won’t apply to you but if you’re either new to the topic or looking for ways to bring others up to speed, can I borrow 20 minutes of your time and suggest you read The Shortcut To Democracy
