Air cooled data centres are hot! • The Register

I now know a whole lot more about Air Cooling data centres than I ever have. But the bit that fascinated me was learning that the data centres in the US already consume 1.5% of that nations entire power diet. That’s amazing and makes me wonder what further proportion is used just by the millions of PCs they’re also using. Obviously the figures for the US carry across for the rest of us so perhaps we should all be looking for ways to reduce the load…
