What’s still missing from the equation is an anonymised way of sending the “You’ve been spotted speeding” warning through an Trusted Surveillance network so that the time and date of the offence is recorded on an unimpeachable audit trail which – if the offences are repeated – can be used to sustain a prosecution. Definitely, though, a step in the right direction.
