“If we take away the weapon, which represents this trust, that means that we are breaking the sacred union between democracy and citizen.” Opponents of gun control please note. The nearest thing we’ve got to a democratic state on this planet is Switzerland. And they know very well the intimate connection between the right and ability to defend yourself and real political power. (Mao Ze Dong understood the latter as well, but not the former…)
