Ellen Cardona : WORLD WAR II AND POUND, 1940-1945: THE ANTI-SEMITE REVEALED

http://www.flashpointmag.com/card4.htm

Strike one AGAINST Zeitgeist Addendum.

This thoroughly researched and well references essay makes it crystal clear that no documentary evidence exists for there ever having been a “Hazard Circular” of July 1862. This is the source of the wonderful – but apparently fictitious – quote in the movie:

Slavery is but the owning of labor and carries with it the care of the laborers, while the European plan is that capital shall control labor by controlling wages. This can be done by controlling the money. It will not do to allow the Greenback… as we cannot control that.

It also turns out to be an inaccurate quote but given that the original version is probably fictitious, who gives a shit?

This doesn’t invalidate the general thrust of the movie, but it definitely reduces credibility. Two more suspect references like this and I’d be inclined to consign the entire thing to the circular file. Which would be a shame, because I have no serious doubt in my mind that Capitalism is inherently corrupt, but we need to make damn sure, when we hang the bastards, that our evidence is incontrovertible. Or else, we’ll be no better than they are…

excellent. Dovetails very neatly with Altemeyer

Credit River Decision: First National Bank of Montgomery vs. Jerome Daly

http://educationcenter2000.com/legal/credit_river_decision.htm

Even better source. This one contains both Bill Drexler’s narrative and the actual decision.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but unless there is a higher court decision overturning this ruling, it essentially means that almost ZERO loans currently unpaid in the USA (AT LEAST!! – possibly most of the rest of the world) are legally invalid and void. Unenforceable.

Now, how many people d’you suppose that ought to interest? Do I hear 75% of the US population? That’s a SWAG on my part but I bet it’s not far off. And if that’s the case, why the fuck aren’t they exploiting this opportunity, or, at the very least, talking about it??

why isn’t this more widely known? I’ve heard it mentioned before but hadn’t picked up the name (“Jerome Daly”) I’ve only picked it up this time because Chongolo sent me to download the follow-up to “Zeitgeist” (Zeitgeist Addendum). Went looking to verify what they’re telling us about this very case and here’s an assistant judge confirming it in spades. ‘course, we need to verify that he WAS an assistant judge but that done, this qualifies as a “root” source…

if it had to happen at all, such a shame it didn’t happen in the USA, where it would have forced Obama to confront the number 1 issue he pointedly ignores from his “change.gov” web “consultation”.

This doesn’t look remotely Marxist. The idea of the Working class having significant levels of credit in the 19th century would have been considered ludicrous. I’m pretty sure it’s not in the Communist Manifesto and it’s certainly not in Das Kapital (download the pdf and check for yourself). But whoever said it, it’s wishful thinking.

State control of the banks leads not to Communism but to State Capitalism. And whether State Capitalism (eg Soviet Russia) is worse than Corporate Capitalism (eg Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and, until recently, the USA) is a matter of some debate…
