Can you imagine what it’s going to be like when the poor guy can actually “speak” again for the first time in eight years??!!

More importantly for the species, this nudges us gently in the direction of capturing our brain content generally. Keep that kind of data to ourselves and it becomes the perfect authentication tool (the ultimate protection against identity theft). It also becomes the major stepping stone to omortality. Before we can become digital beings, we must be able to transfer the data, so reading brains is a vital step.

On the other hand, let “the authorities” anywhere near this technology and it becomes the tool for perfect social control.

So folks, which is it going to be? Liberty and omortality or the ultimate Police State?
